May i just say on behalf of the Somerset Soccer club a huge thankyou to all of the Rangers players and supporters for the support in our fundraising efforts for local boy Rhys Linden and his body suit today, three great games and plenty raised for him and his family.
2 city players sent off including Macri in the last few minutes at Montello.Burnie was leading 2-0 with 15 minutesw to go but fresh subs for city and none for Burnie helped the final score. Very good performance by ref[Mark Spicer].
The final 4 is settled Ulvie off to South Hobart in week 1.
the top 3 just keep rolling along, but something will have to finally give this week with Devonport heading to the NTCA. Rain all week will ensure the middle is muddy.
Knights will account for City easily wiht no Throup or Macri..
All at Harley would love a draw between Devonport and Rangers, as Knights will smash City, and mean they only have to draw in last game of year against Devonport to win the league.
Devonport won't have to push for the win against Rangers if it is still level late in the match. They have the better goal difference over the other two teams and would only need another draw over Knights to win the title.
It will come down to Prospect needing to win its last game against Dev to take the title from Dev. Well that's my tip anyway! Does anyone know what happens if goal difference and points were tied after the last game? Hypothetically! BF
Anyone know the reserves score between City and Burnie?

What a massive game this week for Rangers and Devonport !
ReplyDeleteAnything but a win for Rangers will mean Title chances over !
A draw could possible see all team on equal points at season end and with Strikers Goal dif being enough !
if devonport lose aswell season over unless rangers get held to a draw or lose to ulverstone and devonport beat knights.

ReplyDeleteSo it Port Draw they will got to 37 and Knights win they will got to 37. In the end all 3 have to win both their games to win league really.
ReplyDeleteA draw or a loss excludes Rangers going into the last week
