State Squad Selected for Match V Melbourne Victory.

Today at 12:30 FFT will officially announce the Tasmanian squad to play Melbourne Victory in a pre season warm up match.
We can reveal that three players from the North made the cut, no supprises with Todd Hingston and Brayden Mann, but congratulations to the dark horse and very much under rated Ryan McCarragher.
The State side is:
1)      N.Pitchford
2)      Ferguson
3)      E.Luttmer
4)      Stevens
5)      H.Ludford (c)
6)      C.Williams
7)      R.McCarragher
8)      L.Scott
9)      T.Hingston
10)   S.Hickey
11)   L.Feral
12)   De Smit
13)   A.Mckeown
14)   B.Mann
15)   A.Leszcynski
16)   A.Brennan
Nathan Gratton is the emergency and still highly likely to make the cut, with the business end of the season in full swing, there is every chance someone will stretch themselves to far on the weekend.
Congratulations to all who made the cut, and from in particular those from the North.
Good luck and enjoy the experience.

    1. You're joking right? I agree Pat should have been looked at more but Todd definately. Has been one of the best players in the state over the past 5-6 years, maybe longer so deserves this opportunity.

    4. I'll remember this so I can try and grow a beard for next time, but todd has been very good this year and definitely deserves to be in the team as does the 15 others that have been selected and hopefully they can put on a good show next week.

  8. Shannon Rumbels absence from the squad was surprising, played 2 out of 3 practice games on the weekend and did a good job. Pitchey hasnt been in the best form this year but is still probably best keeper in the state and deserves it, but Ferguson is no way in the top 2 keepers in the state, in the team purely for who he plays for.. and he doesnt have a beard so he couldnt get in that way. Maybe Shannons incident on the weekend with brayden cost him a spot?

  10. I doubt that Shannon Rumbels incident with Mann was a factor for selection, however its likely the beard issue did have something to do with it, unfortunate for him if this was the only reason he was left out.
