Only 3 out of the 8 remaining teams in the Lakoseljac Cup are from the NPL and all will be in action on the NW coast this weekend. See below for the Rangers fixture report. Clearly they just couldn't go the whole year without playing a game at the glorious Ulverstone Showgrounds so they rescheduled.
Burnie v Taroona Montello 2pm Saturday
Burnie get the chance to put a tumultuous week or two behind them when they face the only remaining Division 1 side left inthe competition in Taroona. It would be a massive comeback for Burnie to make the 4 in the league so the longer they can stay in this competition the better. Riverside will be the first to advise that Taroona shouldn't be taken lightly. However, I would love to see Burnie give them a hiding and send them back down south to have a sook on Walter's site.
Devonport v Glenorchy Knights Valley Rd 2pm Saturday
Devonport have been dominant of late after a slowish start to the season. They take on a Knights outfit that have found some form of late, although they have had 2 quality players depart in recent weeks which may unsettle them slightly. To be honest, no one likes the Knights down south so there is no reason we should like them up here. Listen up Devonport lads... Give them a bloody flogging! We will appreciate it very much.
Rangers v South Hobart Ulverstone Showgrounds 2pm Sunday
Good luck Rangers.... You'll need it! But.... .I'll predict an upset!!!! 2-1 Rangers!!! Go you good things!!!
Brayden Mann was seen compiling a pitch report at training tonight for Kenny Morton so there might be a hint of nervousness from the South camp. South fear Rangers.
Even if I'm from northern Tasmania.. I'd prefer South Hobart to win.
ReplyDelete2 out of the northern teams will make it thru is my tips :p
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you Anon 18:49. How anyone involved with Rangers would expect the other clubs' supporters to get behind them is the biggest joke! But I guess that is to be expected from those with blind faith! And this has nothing to do with the Rangers players, as they are generally good blokes, but more to do with the lack of respect the Rangers' supporters give to opposition teams. 'Do unto others as you would have done unto you' - sound familiar?
ReplyDeleteI disagree with the previous comments, I'll be cheering on the Rangers on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteagree with you anon 18:49. Why on earth FFT let Rangers get away with playing their "home" statewide cup game in Ulverstone is bewildering, when there are 4 other Launceston venues available? You may not have heard, but they also were angling to play the Div 1 Statewide game v City at Ulverstone...this has now been changed to Mitsubishi Park. I hope Sth Hobart flog them.
ReplyDeletenick .. not happy with this being rangers second web site.giving someone whom has already displayed an inability to offer a balanced point of view ( the local game) veto of others comments, takes me back to another regime. when you!!!!! started this site, you !!! offered it up as an independent forum. lets get it back to that. if whe wish to read rangers propangada ,you have quite properly offered us web site links on the home page.
ReplyDeleteIt's rangers home game, they can choose to play it at south hobart if they want to.
ReplyDeleteA bit harsh anon...
ReplyDeleteI openly asked all readers if any would like to help as it was hard to get all info when I had commitments on Saturday. I had 2 people contact me. They were 2 people from Rangers. The first being Donk.
Rangers put their match report up every week, as do I for Ulvie. I would love to put up match reports from all games but if no one writes them it's not possible.
If I had that help from other clubs it would even out and not look so 1 or 2 team dominant. Until then you'll have to live with it I'm afraid.
As far as screening the posts, I screen nearly all the posts. Donk might do a couple only when he is logged on to post stuff.
I'd love your help if your offering.
NO
Its always the same narrowminded people that ruin these forums Nick, unfortunately. Seriously guys put your hands up and help the bloke out, your comments lack thought. no one at Rangers expects you to support them. but if you think for one minute the slagging matches between the clubs of the North are bad. Have a look at Walters site after every statewide cup round and you'll see nothing but demoralising insults and comments about all the clubs of the North and their lack of soccer skill and standards. Every club has supporters that dislikes the other clubs. that is why they are called su-pport-ers. But if you think that the way Rangers treat other clubs is bad you've obviously never seen Live EPL! I would just ONCE.....JUST ONCE love to see someone other than a Ranger person or Nick Owen making an effort on these forums. Come on City, Launceston, River, Knights, Devo, Burnie and Somer put your hands up with some match reports. i apologise to those at those clubs that are making an effort. i'm directing this to the people that don't do enough for the club or for the good of soccer but think that its good enough to get on their highhorse and slag other people. tut tut tut not good enough.
ReplyDelete- GO
-
Devonport have a match report on their website for every game (both seniors and reserves).
ReplyDeleteLaunceston City also have weekly match reports on their website for all games for Seniors, Ressies, U18's, Women X 2 and Div 1 x 2
ReplyDeletelike i said i apologise to the people doing all they can at their clubs. but why not forward this onto Nick for posting of this site. the people have spoken they want these reports to read! the above was not a dig at the people that are contributing, it was at the people who aren't!
ReplyDelete- GO
Ok I will bite, so what do you offer the blog GO ???
ReplyDeletelast week nick in the cup games your prediction were close 1 out of 4 was good you should give it up and also did you run old chubby ben foote to lose some kilo's you would had to run him to hobart and back and stil not lose it.
