A Few Coaches Reports

Tom McGinn - Devonport

At this stage of the season this is a big game as a win will keep us up there however a loss would see us drop off the pace.

Exciting time for both clubs as rangers being winners the last 2 years certainly makes this a very tough assignment as they are a well organized team and give very little away.

We go in with winning a few games in a row and managed to convert last game knocking in 7.

The squad remains unchanged for this week with the possible exception of the starting 11.

We have welcomed Robert McDonald, a very exciting prospect from the United Kingdom and certainly has shown plenty ability in pre season and his debut as a substitute last game.

The key obviously for this game will be the battle in midfield with both sides keen to take control from the start.

For a neutral I think this will be a very good spectacle with some attacking soccer.

As this will also conclude the ½ way mark it will let everyone assess and reflect on the good and the bad.

Dane Hudson – Prospect
I haven’t seen City at all yet this year and really only know their progress through the 1st round from web and paper reports. They have taken some points off quality teams so we will have to be ready for the task they set us. We will have a full senior squad to choose from except Toby Omenhu who is travelling overseas. We will be looking to continue our momentum as the season unfolds and hopefully secure the 3 points.

Nick Owen - Ulverstone
We have made two forced changes this week. Dallas Baldock received a 2 week suspension from last week's game. Conor Meaney is also missing with family commitments. We welcome back Michael Grey and Sam Wood, the latter should be fresh after a weekend in Melbourne for a James Blunt Concert. Meaney and Baldock will be big losses for the team but we should beable to cover them well enough and it should be a close contest to earn the points.
