Team of the Year

I'm not going to try and name one straight away. Give it your best shot but it's not easy.

The most effective defence this year probably didn't have a stand-out so do you pick them all or pick none? Who was the second best striker?

If you weren't in the top 3 teams you'll struggle to get picked in most people's team of the year I would think.

Most teams will be picked as a NPL rep side as most people have only seen 1 club play more than a couple of times.

Be brave and give it a go

  12. To Captain Australia
Interesting choice of R hughes at CB with only playing about 4 games before injury? Choice based on ability?
Not a criticism, just general thoughts?

  13. Anon 19:33,
Robbie in my humble opinion is one of the finest players in our league, the poor guy cant take a trick with injury, but if he was to get through a full season, he would almost be a certainty to poll into the top 5 for GD. you only need to look at how strong River are when he plays.

  16. Hill, Smith or Baker over Hingston? Having a laugh! Not his finest year but still dominated most games, including Knights twice

  17. you can see the Knights posters - 8 players anon 21:19? Phhhh

  18. premiers 18:21 and 16:37??
I suppose you guys saw ALL games this year. Bit precious don't ya think!! Only saw hingston (amongst others) twice and didn't rate his performance. Reads the game well but was lazy/unfit and turns the ball over under pressure. I find it funny how a simple opinion can become such a talking point. Some people on here pretend as if they wrote the bible on tassie football and know everything...

  19. Anon 21:19, many thanks for your opinion, a fine one at that, but I will stick with mine. 4 games was enough for me, and given the opportunity to poach him on what I saw this year in hudson cup and NPL and youtube, I'd grab him with both hands, and stand by my "opinion" in selecting him in my team of the year, reckon if Cahill played just one game this year, I would have seleced him too.
