    1. More people in Tassie care about the victory league than the second rate spl and npl.

    2. Annon 22:25 you sound very negative. Related to Nigel I am guessing.

  3. Actually I think you will find that not many do really care the northern side of Bagdad. If rumors are true it will be an interesting few years in tassie football with the talk that defiantly NPL and maybe SPL are going to form their own foundations canceling out fft. Which would screw the VL over because fft won't have the bottom feeders which they rape to pay for VL. So at the end of the day more people do and will care about NPL -SPL.

  4. I'm sure FFT are shaking in their boots! The only exciting players in the npl are the young ones from rangers or Devonport. Without them and City (fft will install state league u/20 league) you'd have a 6 team league of old has been's and young fellas with no talent. That sound great! Good luck with that!

there are plenty of good young players going around.. not just at those two clubs.. you obviously dont know much about the players in the NPL..

  7. 15:46, That statement confused me too.But then i had a thought. At the start of the year i attended a meeting for clubs and the ceo of FFT was there.
He was talking about money(which is always the problem) and he stated that Soccer in Australia and especially Tasmania are all bottom fed unlike AFL which comes from the top and put back into grass roots. Maybe thats what they ment but not really sure.

  8. It may also mean that although the NPL and SPL are now lower leagues the registration fees stay the same and help pay for any extra employees required if that is the case. However these clubs deserve what they get as they accept everything dished out to them and if you look at the rosters where some teams play as many as 3 consecutive home and away games then there is something wrong with the system. On many occasions the NW clubs are all home or away on the same day and that is not healthy for the game.We cannot blame the VL clubs for that but the administration for ,I say,Discrimination.

  9. Think you will find FFT have fewer staff at the minute, they have not replaced Kurt Reynolds or Blaise Fagan which should save approx. $120K which they need to save due to their flawed business plan but while they save this money and fail to replace staff in development positions the juniors will suffer greatly, as well as the senior sides as Kurt & Blaise were both available to work with all ages.

  10. Wise man
You are definitely wise and I guess who your employer may be.Sad to miss the two people you mentioned as they were doing a very good job and I hope they are replaced. However this does not take away the fact that the lower league players and clubs are milked and given nothing much in return. Not even proper rosters.
