most of the "highlights" in the match were after the Knights went down to 10 men I see! This not really a fair depiction of the match! Whilst the "incident" with Pat LA wasn't caught on film you can see the late foul on the PKFC goalkeeper that was let go and resulted in Claxton's send off moments later and Rangers second goal. Poor, one sided officiating got in the way of a fairly decent game. Probably a deserved Ranger win but quite evident that they had it "handed to them" in the second half...
5:11 pm you've got no idea mate. "Probably a deserved Ranger win". Crap. Absolutely dominated and should have been 3 or 4 up before Knights lost their discipline again
5:11 its all good to say rangers only dominated after knights went back to 10 men, but its there own fault they went down to ten men, so cant complain too much.
What a horrendous tackle by the Knights player number 12. Deserves to be suspended for a few weeks. The Rangers guy is lucky not to have sustained a serious injury. Looks like the Knights player wanted to get his own back after the referee waived play on to the incident involving the keeper only moments earlier.
Clacka often loses it, and it easily was a straight red. Spice took the easy option 2nd yellow same result and for Prospect they will have him back in a week.
Second time Clackas got his marching orders at the NTCA and a Saturday night
That is a rather silly statment and has come up a few times. Patty is pretty small and not likely to have any affect on Beardy even if he did try and take him out. In fairness, he runs into put pressure on Beardwood who got him self in trouble with a classic goal keeper 1st touch ( I am not Immune to these ) he then has to get rid of the ball in a panic and then falls into Patty on his follow through, nothing in it if you look at it objectively.
Agree with you Capt....also just because the ref didn't pay a free for that doesn't allow Knights No 12 to take matters into his own hands. Thats the lack of discipline previously spoken about. If you can't see that Anon 12.45pm , then you are guilty of one sided views!
One sided views???!!! I am not involved with Rangers, but am a parent of a youngster who will soon be playing NPL. The sooner players like the Number 12 for Knights are rubbed out the better. You can't say that actions like that are playing the game in a tough manner....thats just a cowardly act. Does nothing for the game. If that was a Knights Player being taken out in a cynical tackle how would you react?
Players get "taken out" every week in similar circumstances...open your eyes! It was a late tackle - sure, but Clacker didn't show his studs or go in with 2 feet, or even slide. He tackles hard and just like other players in the world that are renowned for it, sometimes they get the timing wrong. I don't believe for a minute that he was attempting to hurt the player (maybe vent some frustration) and he got what he deserved in the end. If he were of smaller stature (eg Patty LA size), then he may have gotten away with it!! As for it being cowardly, perhaps you should say that to him in the return leg later this year Anon 6:29!! **He may not have needed to make the tackle if the foul on Beardwood had've been payed moments earlier. Captain, it's a clear foul on the keeper...wake up!
A bit like the game last year with isa no red card for him when he hit Chris Hill in the face and that was on film aswell. But the Knights didn't get a letter to appoligise. And rangers you know what Isa is like didn't he have a few run ins with his own players at training?

ReplyDeleteThe second yellow card should have been a straight red - disgraceful tackle and absolutley NO RESPECT for the opposing player.
