Ulv won 5 0. Shocking refereeing by DeCani all day, both sides were left asking questions when ulv coach got told to stop talking so much from his coaches box. And the red card?? Seriously??
Don't know whether you're from Dev or not, but couldn't see any real problem with the refereeing. The actual sending off decison itself may have been a bit harsh, although it was a second yellow for a foul in a goal scoring opportunity, couldn't see from where I was standing. Although I must say, young Andrews was fortunate to stay on the park for as long as he did as there was a blatant trip earlier in the second half that was let go that would normally have been a booking any other time. Something the young guy may want to eradicate from his game quickly if he doesn't want to earn himself a reputation. All in all, the result of the game was by no means determined by refereeing decisions.
Gee, that's a turn-up in the coastal derby. No even close, and at home to boot. Was Devonport over extended because of their Hudson Cup commitment on Sunday or just didn't turn up on the day? Interested southerner
Southerner I think you will find that this year Ulverstone and somerset will be a force between the two, Somerset still not full strength I don't think and controlled the game easily, ATM they are their own worst enemy, from what I saw 14 shots 3 goals. As for Ulverstone missing 3 senior players, Conkie brothers and Snowy. Yet I'm pretty sure Devonport were at full strength with 5 victory squad members playing. Kenny, Wilson brothers, Brodie Denahey,Ashdown.will be an interesting season in NPL.
Annon 19.33 they were at the fullest strength unless you start taking the eaves, manns, foots, etc out of their line up for v Leauge. Very young NPL side and will struggle.
You may have a point there Ben.Bad habits hard to kill!!!Expected more from Somerset with the team you had out and the very poor refereeing[thank God Arthur was on the line]. However it takes a bit of time before former enemies learn to play together! PC
