  1. Great to see Devonport flogged. It puts a smile in my dial every time. Well done riverside.

  2. Somerset 6 - Rangers 1, they got one late courtesy of a little mistake by the defense. Rangers young forward Chris Collins copped a broken Tibia late in the match, hope he gets back quickly.

  3. Riverside's first half on the weekend was quality we couldn't get near the ball if they play like that consistently give them the title now nobody will come close.

  4. hey anonymous 21 june you are a wanker!!
no one likes to see a team flogged and if you were at the game it was not a flogging.
dev was totally undermanned and played a lot of kids that did a fine job.
riverside played a great brand of football and are a strong team.
also for future reference the quote is "put a smile on my dial"

  5. Ian, I could not care less what you think. Sucked in to Devonport and maybe their and egos may be back down to earth now. Hope it happens for the rest of the year too....

    2. wow a devonport hater aye "the whole club is bad" are you going to tell us why
you have the need to make this big statement anonymous just not enough room in your little brain and had to make room for a few more biased opinions
i could drop to your level and say your victory league team sucks too but i dont have to because you dont have one

  6. What makes someone so bitter and twisted that they spend their week waiting for one of Devonport's 12 teams to lose so they can slate them on the blog?

  7. Sorry, but if your name is NOT Ian Devonport Strikers. Well neither do you. Looks like there are two of the same breed on here. So Devonport have twelve teams. Must be nice to have numbers. But then again poaches always have numbers don't they. Will be interesting when the V league folds after next year. What will Devonports exude be then. Any way Ian had my say. Best of luck for the rest of the year. You will need it LMFAO

    1. Typical troll baiting the rest of us with grammatically and intellectually bereft comments. I am interested in the broad generalisations that imply here - do all people from the Devonport Strikers have massive egos? Or just the ones you have met? Such broad generalisations are the domain of the uneducated and the prejudiced. There are plenty of fine people at Devonport (and some knobs as well - but you get that at every club). Finally, your tongue in cheek comment that it, "Must be nice to have numbers", seems a little off the mark if other comments posted in this thread are taken into account. The issue for Devonport (other than being outplayed - which none of them have denied) was that they were low on numbers and had to field, "a lot of kids". I bet you feel really tough having a crack at 15 and 16 year olds. However, you are entitled to your opinion and are free to air them, so feel free to do whatever floats your boat, champ.

  9. Sorry, but if your name is NOT Ian Devonport Strikers. Well neither do you. - what an awesome couple of sentences LOL! I guess that's what happens when you type with one hand. There have been some really good posts on the blog lately - its a shame the Anonymous Devonport Hater has chosen to drag it into the gutter again

  10. I'm not sure where all the Devonport hate is coming from, the game on the weekend seemed to be played with good spirits and there seemed no bitterness between the two sides.

    1. If you think this is coming from someone at Riverside then think again.
Like you said, the game was played in good spirits and Riverside as a club have a lot of respect for the Devonport Strikers who have played us off the park in the past and shown a lot of respect to us.

  11. A player has the choice where they play, for whatever reason, so if.you've got issues with who plays where, then direct it at the players, not the club. Also, whether our team, your team or whatever team is "crap", we don't mean to be. We don't set out to lose games. And finally, the only comment in this thread with any credentials is Nigel's, because at least we all know who it is.
