Pretty sure Somerset only got 8 Sam. They lost Kaimon, Elliott and Keiren on the way up so promoted Jimmy, Andy and Mick up from Ressies. But we do have great depth this year and the young lads stepped up in both matches. Jimmy proving his goal scoring talent with another hat trick.
Yes agree you have good depth Nigel. But to say you lost your George Dale winner on the way up is utter crap. More like he wa playing afl. So yes you better have depth to cover the ones not committed. Falcon
Well as a plumber I'm sure I know crap better than you, Kaimon was named in Friday nights team, we received a phone call on Saturday morning, that's "on the way up" as far as I'm concerned. What he does with his Saturdays is his prerogative, he is under no obligation with our club. Commitment is different for every player and member of a club. I am more than happy with Kaimon's.
How can you be happy that arguably your best player and one of the best players in the comp, decided to go and play AFL instead of playing for the Sharks??
So Nigel if he had broken his leg last week or when he plays this week beacuse there is no NPL. You will be happy? Sounds like the Sharks are loosing it and think its a walk in the park. Wonder how Debomford felt about it?
Don't remember there being a law against playing two sports? Why not play both if your talented enough to do so. And De Bomford being kaimons brother in law would not have had a problem with it I don't think. A chance for him to team a few younger players without that extra experience.
Annon 19:13, Thats just as a stupid remark as it is this bloke playing football when he should be playing soccer. You don't see Buddy Franklin not turning up one week cause he is going to play basketball instead. COMMITMENT is the key word here. If you don't have it not only are you letting your self down, But also the club you play for but worse off the people you call mates or team mates. Its a disgrace.
Haha I reckon if i was getting paid a quarter of what Franklin gets i would be well and truly committed. 'Disgrace 'you say? Bit harsh I would have thought. I think I am free to play whatever I like whenever I like. I train every week and respect the club I play for. Probably start worrying about your own club and players before what others are doing. Kaimon
Thank you for running this blog, Sam, and keeping us all updated around the grounds each weekend - it is greatly appreciated! Half way through the season! How about a thread/post regarding how people think the ladder will finish up now that everyone has seen each team? And players that could be in the running for the B&F?
