  1. I love it how they are getting old players back, Now that they might have a chance of winning something because there is no competition

  2. Casey has been training with Dev?!

  3. Ben Foote, you seem to be a tree of knowledge. Maybe you should contact Donk or Coxy and be part of the blog. Just because he is training with you doesn't mean he is playing for you. Maybe again it because Devonport started earlie and his commitment to Somerset is bigger than yours to Ulverstone and he is trying to get fitter??????

    1. geez thats harsh Mr Ed. He was only saying he is training with dev, didnt say anything about commitment mate. Ben is actually good enough to play state league unlike 99% of Somerset's team, so how about you take a seat and dont talk your trash that no one wants to hear this early on.

    2. Mr Ed, my tree of knowledge tells me your tree of knowledge is pathetic if your doubting my commitment to Ulverstone, considering the state-league. Anyone would assume he was planning on a crack at the V-League. And because I comment on here, doesn't mean I want to be an administrator. Pull your head in.

  4. Well said above... Mr Ed obv has sour grapes. Ben's commitment to Ulv cannot be questioned and same with him at Dev now. Make big statements Ed, put your real name to it and stop hiding. How about being positive for our game instead of hanging crap.

  5. How could anyone accuse Ben Foote of being disloyal to Ulverstone - disgraceful, shortsighted, stupid comment - mind you, he is a horse

  7. May I add that the Foote family name is synonymous with the Ulverstone soccer club.

  10. Ben,
I am sorry for a direct hit at you about commitment.Yes it was abit harsh but yes even though state league is and will be better than playin NPL,Going from Ulverstone to Devonport would be like going from Man U to MAn City.
Is that why Adrian had a run a City? Because his passion for Ulverstone would never allow him to play at Devonport? Or has he been training there too?
As for Casey Eaves,I have just been on Somerset SC website and it states Casey has been appointed as one of the committee directors for 2013? So ill be stuffed if i know whats happening there.
    Sorry again Ben

  11. He went for a run there because he was asked to and work may have drawn him to Launy next year. However, now that's not the case he is training at Dev along with myself, Joel and Brayden from Ulverstone because we all agreed the travel to Launy would be too much and Devonport was the ideal choice. Having said that, me playing at Devonport was something I never thought would happen but I think the days of 'hate' are behind the players, as there are few that would really even understand it nowadays, plus most of the opposing players are friends. We all have a passion for Ulverstone but the other passion, SOCCER , is the one we are pursuing next season. And on Casey, I was only making a point he has been training. Nothing else.
P.S. thanks for the apology but it would be better received if you had your name there.

  12. Casey is trialing with Port for the keepers spot, he believes he has a chance to play V League, and he goes with our clubs good wishes as we give to the other 4 or so?.
If successful we will lose another director from our club as well as a life member and senior player, probably our 2013 captain as Wellsy and Tyler seem to have gone to AFL next year.
Casey, like Ben is a strong 1 club man and he has assured me that if he is unsuccessful he will be back, as I hope will any of the others.
    Hope this clears this matter.
Oh...Ben , lets not lose all the "hate" it adds some spice to local derbys LOL

  14. Mr Ed......G'Day. Have you seen that Casey is now part of the Devonport Victory League squad.....?? Some how I don't think he is still working on some pre-season fitness work to go back to the Sharks. Good on him for having a crack this year.

    1. Hi BF, where can we see the Strikers VL squad then? So I count Ben Foote, Brayden, Joel, Bobby, Casey, Adrian as the signings, not a bad collection of players, who makes it from Dev?

    2. Ummm I'm not too sure if I'm allowed to leak anymore of that info......ha. But I'm sure it will be in the advocate soon enough. You have 6 out of 20 so far.

  15. Man formally known as Mr Cleansheets12 January, 2013 02:31

Can't give you the list yet Donk but I didn't get in! Shame on C. McKenna! Club stalwarts started to refer to me as Mr. Cleansheets before Christmas and then I get shafted! P.S. they don't call it Christmas up here anymore... They changed it to Chrismac.
