  2. Seen Riverside a few times now and can safely say Somerset will win the league. I don't know how they've gone this far unbeaten. They will lose 3 or 4 games by seasons end.

    1. Care to share your thoughts on why you think that? They seem to be getting the job done. Haven't had a chance to see them myself

  3. I believe for the most part they've been able to go unbeaten by not losing to anyone.

  4. Scraping past Shitty City is a bit worrying

  5. River apparently lucky to get 3 points against City kids. In dying minutes City shaved crossbar and then hit post after River keeper made a great save getting a part glove on shot

    1. Yeah but have you been told about the 5-6 very good chances for Riverside that didn't get put away? City played well and pushed hard in the last 10-15 mins and probably deserved a point. The same could be said for the game in the first round where Riverside managed to score the winner in the last minute of the game.
Its these results that could go either way that define a season. Riverside may have only deserved 2 points in total against City, and last year would have only obtained 2. This year they took all 6 points. Surely that's something that shows they can get results when not necessarily playing well.
Cracking game looms on Saturday. Good luck to both teams.

  6. Riverside didnt play to their potential against City true, but there are other things to consider past the scoreline. The ability to win whilst not playing well is something that is important to any good team, whilst this blog seems predominantly N/W, people seem to love willing teams to get smashed rather than encourage competition which is what football outside of the Victory league needs. Last season Somerset ran away with the title, and whilst they may remain favourites in many peoples eyes, competition from a club who has had its share of poor fortune and player harvesting over the years is encouraging for the future of football in northern tasmania, the peaks and climaxes that this season is producing (this weeks match specifically), allow interest in the league and are something that EVERYBODY should be keen to see.
