    5. ulverstone 2 premier league titles, prospect 1. therefore ulverstone>prospect.

you may be champions for another week but you are not a champion team and are not even going to make top four. absolutely disgraceful performances over the last 2 months.

    6. yes you may be right but it is still on the cup 2011 PROSPECT KNIGHTS maybe ULVERSTONE need to play U16 because on their cup it has runners up and they get runners up medals,Ulverstone are alike our olympic,s team only good for second play.

    7. having a bit of trouble with the caps lock key there mate?

    8. At least Ulverstone would be able to field a U16 team as I've heard and seen prospect struggle to field even an U18 team.

No, lets be serious here, ulvy have a good side this year and are playing good soccer (can't get myself to call it football)- however I think they have missed their 'window of opportunity' for an NPL title. Fortunately for Knights, we were lucky enough and good enough to win one last year before our window closed. As for Ulvy, with the Victory League about to start, and the NPL Season 2012 drawing to a close - I can hear that window of opportunity slamming shut in amongst a whole lot of random s*&t being mutterred by ungraceful Ulvy faithful.

  8. thats alright knights, you can all polish last years winners medals while the top four play finals.

  9. Next year's games between these two sides look like being the new 'grudge' matches of the NPL competition. The results might be a bit harder to predict tho', as you would think both Ulverstone and Knights may lose some of their better players to the Victory League, that is, if these players have any ambition to play in the best competition the state has to offer and not stay with their respective clubs, simply because it would be easier to do so!?!?!?
Best of luck to everybody next year, both Victory League and NPL, and congratulations to Rangers on winning this year's title.

  10. Knights to become the next Launy City. Harping on about how they used to be good....for the next 7 years

  11. Rangers will drop points at city this weekend, they already think they have it in the bag, city physical style of play will put rangers off, 1-1 I predict

    1. Pretty sure Rangers aren't thinking about anything in a bag. And must be a lot of changes to the City team that took to the park against Rangers earlier this year. Nothing physical about it and in patches their football was pretty good, so I'd see them persisting with that. Guys trying to impress the new state league coach will need to be more than physical.

    2. I can assure you, we don't think it is already won. City and Somerset always play good games against us, and we'll need to play some good football to get favourable results!

    3. City are a team of kids trying to play the right way last time I saw them didnt seem thatt physical to me.

Rangers are an experienced group they wont be thinking too far ahead

  12. I just hope Knights are around for the next 7 years. Know a bloke who lives next door to a women who has a brother in law that sells the pies to the club, and he told her that Knights would struggle for numbers next year, with the 18s in real strife. Do hope this isn't true, or if it is that the club is on the ball and aiming to fix.

Nothing changes for Rangers this weekend, or the next. WE are aiming to win the game this week, as has been our aim every previous game, nothing changes. Season is a long way from being over.

  15. Grandpa's stratergy to defend Mann; if I can't catch him, then I may as well try and break his leg because unlike me, he is young and skillful and has something to aim towards. I wonder if Ayden has that terrible tackle on film.

It may not have been the best timed tackle i've ever seen but there have been far worse this season and in this game even! It was late and looked average but it made a good noise of boot laces on shinpad (in amongst some crying from Mann et al - but he actually got on with the game afterwards to his credit). And in NB's defence, i'm sure he thought B Mann was just going to dive over the intended tackle as he has done for a long time now.

This sort of tackle isnt going to injure anyone anyway, unlike the studs-up tackles / challenges that are potentially dangerous and are going unnoticed this season.

Looks to me like the tackle wasn't caught on this edited version but you do, however, catch a glimpse of B Mann "diving" in front of Grandpa in the penalty area when the ball is out of play and 'simulating' that he had been kicked - it goes to another passage of play just before we get to see Mann appeal for a red card and other carry on...poor sportsmanship and another example of the 'simulation' that he is getting a reputation for...unfortunate considering he is a good player!

    2. Absolute rubbish, Mann never appealed for a red card. and grandpa definitely knocked him over, it was maybe not the biggest shove but Mann wasn't expecting it obviously. Bit hypocritical of you to say poor sportsmanship when you werent even going to shake Mann's hand after the match. yep, hypocrite.

    3. ok no name...really gutsy! watch the footage. if you're going to jog across someone and then dive on the ground, then you deserve the reputation of a diver which has been forthcoming!

there's also no doubt in my mind I was always going to shake his hand. what i wasn't pleased with was that he was still making inflammatory comments after the final whistle. again the facts are not being presented!

enjoy the win, but if you're going to keep carrying on, things may get ugly and personal.

    4. jog across? he got off the ground and stood up. The footage shows that quite clearly

  16. I have knocked one comment back. If its personal, it wont make it through. No problems with the banter, but if you are going to call anyone a name you best have a name that I can verify on it, as the bloke deserves the right to know who said it!

  17. A lot of carry on for not much to be honest.

Prospect were excellent hosts on the day, especially considering the circumstances after our last game. I thought AB's speech in the clubrooms was gracious and the rest of the club handled themselves well. NB would admit that it was a bad challenge but they happen every week and it was out of frustration rather than malicious intent in my opinion. All the other stuff is best left on the field. Move on.
