I do not have much time for people who are scared or ashamed to put your name. However I was actively involved with Burnie for many many years and never thought that a great club would ever hit the bottom but obviously everything is possible.About time however that the club officials pick up the pieces and do something about it.
The downward trend for Burnie did not start this year and I will not point fingers.I will however call on the club's football committee to come to life and look at the problem and try to find solutions.

  5. It is easy to say things about a club that has lost 7-8 players from last years squad and in today's society and cost of playing this great game it is very hard to get people to play especially when to play football it costs next to nothing, and another is just remember that Rome wasn't built in a day and the current team playing for burnie is a bunch of kids aged 15-17 and play two games while this is not a good thing we have to remember they are kids and have mates that play U18 and they want to play both, it's not easy to get players managed week in week out especially with numbers the way they are , I could say that all clubs on the coast could with an influx of players but where are you going to get them from. Ok Burnie are struggling but rather than negative comments lets find the positive and give these kids that have stood up this year all the praise they deserve as in my opinion they try every week. It's not easy to get use to a new game plan or even a new culture around the club. I remember last year everyone was going of at Burnie about there disaplin well everyone will be surprised thatBurnie have had one player sent of all year and that was for two yellows and a one week suspension so as you can see things are changing and they are trying to build a side that will be very competitive in a couple of years if not sooner. In reality it would be great not to have players double up for two games this cannot be avoided at the moment unless there is a magical find.i I for one will not stand by and let anyone be negative to a bunch of guys that try week in week out iraspective of what people think. I also can say if you think the players aren't feeling this you need to see them in the dressing rooms after yesterday's game and every game for that fact they are hurting and so is everyone around them People might sit back and think that these guys don't give all how wrong you are these lads are a great bunch of guys and listen to what's said and train hard. The other thing to remember is this is a new senior squad with most of them playing together for the first time and are getting use to that aswell . I can proudly say that I am very proud of the efforts that these guys put in week in week out ok they haven't had a win but performances are getting better each week they are turning the corner and win is not far away .

So please PC tell me what the problem is?

    1. Nice response Tony, but may I suggest the answer to your question, or even your question itself might be better served in another forum other than this one, particularly if you dont want dirty laundry aired.

  6. good on u tc, youve got a hard task there rebuilding a club, but from what ive seen u have a good group of kids and the future is looking good. and if they are working as hard as u say then in the next few years you will see the results. good luck, and keep your heads up.

  7. No one cares about cards. Fair to say the refereeing is disgraceful for all games. Surely if T-league goes ahead they need to bring in some new referees from the mainland, because this is getting beyond a joke

  9. TC I think you are jumping the gun when nothing I said referred to today's players or coaching staff and I am known to shoot straight and not behind backs. The young players are giving all they have week in week out and I have nothing but praise for them and the rest I will leave there.
And remember that if you want to talk about it to me I am there every Saturday.

  10. We need the odd sensible comment Tony. From what I've seen, you don't need to change anything on the pitch. If Burnie keep playing the same way then the results will come. Good luck with the remainder of the season.
