  1. In Bakes unusually unimpartial write up after the game he forgot to mention 2 things 1)a Knights player should have been sent off for the assault on Pat L-A even if the linesman picked the wrong player - video footage may identify him 2)a shot count of 15-4 showed Knights were absolutely hammered

  2. I have never posted on here before, but having gone to the game last night I feel compelled to make a comment. Whether you support Rangers or not, everyone knows that Patty is one of the young stars in the competition. He gives everything and then more but always plays in the spirit of the game. I, like most at the game, did not see the incident. It would appear that Patty was taken out well after he disposed of the ball. This is a cowardly act and the person responsible must be held to account. No doubt the Knights management know who it is and I ask that for the good of the game and the young players coming through that they name him so he can get the punishment that fits the cowardly act. I would be saying the same to rangers management if one of their players was involved. If we want this great game to prosper in the North we have to man up and take responsibility for our actions. I hope in the cold light of day the Knights see it the same way. If they do, they should receive universal praise for their actions.

  3. One eyed linesman, always a great way to start a game. Should he even be running a line in a premier league game when he is involved with the club playing in that game? I would question his ethics having seen some of the things he let slide. 15 yrd offsides that a corpse could have picked up!! sure Claxtons tackles probabaly warranted his send off but thats what happens when you play hard like he does. Harris send off I dont think it would have mattered who it was the lines person would have been happy with any knights player punished. i would love to have an official like that on my side. what could have been a great game was ruined by poor officials. I dont blame anton threatening a walk off from where i was sitting it seemed like the linesman had the result covered for the rangers.

  4. Following the chaos of the Knights attempted walk off the ref lost it completely and denied hunt a clear penalty and chalked of a perfectly good goal for offside when he was fifty metres away. Not good to see the ref over-rule another qualified senior ref doing the line.

As for who kicked the rangers player off the ball, from where I was it looked like the knights goal scorer! Disappointing write up on the examiner website, from the usually unbiased baker. He was probably too close to the action this week to distance himself from it in his review.

  5. Maybe you should be clear on all the facts gentlemen ! And if you are going to name names put your name to the comments!

I'm suprised they were allowed to be posted as it clear none are aware of the full facts!

And again laugh off the person attacks on myself and capabilities as this was done last year and look what happened ! But thanks for the extra motivation

  6. Also it is a shame a club involved ref was put in the situation he was! But hey this is the 3rd time in as many years we have had to put up with this so eventually we would react!

  7. I, Chris Pickering was the person who kicked out at Patty. It happened after the second or third goal for Rangers was scored. I had taken a couple of steps towards the middle of the ground for the restart and Patty( I didn't see who it was. I am only going off what's written on here) was running over towards the grandstand side of the ground to celebrate with teammates and I felt a bit of contact and then I kicked my leg out. It was a split second mistake that I can't take back and happened in the heat of the moment after a few tough decisions. I, at no time meant to hurt Patty and would like to sincerely like to apologise to Patty.

  8. The person who kicked me was the goal scorer Chris Pickering. I passed the ball to Todd, he scored and as I went to celebrate with him I ran past Chris and he kicked me. Due to his disgraceful unsportsmanlike abuse I will more than likely be missing our game next week. Unfortunately it was not captured on the video, but just by watching it you can tell what he did was clear. I was a bit disappointed that the linesmen accused the wrong person for the incident, but in his defence it would've been hard to see. I thought Spice handled it well and I cant expect the referees to see everything, but I would still like to see something done about Chris, what is to say he doesn't do the same thing to someone else next week.

  10. I have not published a few posts as they overstepped the boundary in my opinion. It appears that Patty wrote his bit after reading Chris' but they were published at the same time so he hadn't read his apology. I was at the game cheering on the Donk. I would have cheered for my other fellow blogger Sam C. but I'm not sure he got a touch :)t. Rangers were deserving winners in the end though of a game that was pretty good to watch. It was just the one incident late that spoiled it.

  11. Northern Rangers have had a letter from Prospect Knights today for those that continue to get stuck into both clubs, Anton and the PKFC, to their credit have settled the incident with integrity, that will be the end of the matter, and Thanks to PKFC for their independent investigation and Chris for being man enough to admit, as we all are at times, that he was in the wrong.

  14. Was Patty carrying an injury before he recieved that "tap"??
As far as the "shot count" that is written up the top (15-4), I wonder how many were in the final 15 minutes of the game when Knights were down to 10 players and the game was beyond reach??
Anon 7:03 - perhaps you should take to Rangers management the issue of uneducated spectators verbally abusing players during a match and also ban them from attending games as it is bad for the growth of the sport etc etc...as for the Patty "incident", by your own addmission, you didn't see the "incident" so how can you judge what repercussions should or shouldn't take place as a result!
